GREG C FRANKLIN

Greg is a Level 2 Certified AcroYoga Teacher, AcroYoga Immersion Teacher and AcroYoga Teacher Training Assistant. He holds 350-hours of Vinyasa & Hatha yoga certification, as well as certifications in various modalities of healing and bodywork including Thai massage, Shiatsu and Swedish.

Drawn to the mystical side of life from an early age, Greg’s talents first found expression through the arts in the form of sketch art, drawing and painting. He began exploring eastern philosophies as a young man, then discovered yoga as an undergrad in California. He found the practice to be a potent aid to putting the rubber of his studied philosophy into contact with the road.

His formal studies led him to Indonesia for a year, after which he continued an informal education through further journeys around the globe in places as diverse as Thailand, Nepal, India, Morocco, Europe and Israel. After a two-year world traveling sojourn inspired by a hand reader and HH the 14th Dalai Lama, he made his way to New York City, where he discovered (among other things) AcroYoga, a practice he’s come to wholeheartedly adore.

Obsessed with balancing objects since his best friend in the first grade taught him to hover a ruler on the edge of his desk, he sees balancing people with his body – and teaching others to do so – as a natural progression.

Greg finds the potential for self discovery, empowerment, transformation and fun in community that the practice of AcroYoga embodies ever-present and inspiring. He strives to make the work accessible to all who are willing and interested to give it a try, and invites you to come take a chance and spread your wings!
