Bodywork & Dessert Party
7-10pm
SATURDAY 8.23
Featuring the live musical stylings of
Delta Sound Project
AKA the "NY AcroFest House JAM Band"
Delta Sound Project blends the vibrations of Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, guitars, world percussion, strings and electronic elements to create improvisational soundscapes. The group is made up of multi-instrumentalist Cori Barger, bassist Michael Gaydos, and singing bowl and gong master Guy Yair Beder. They have provided the soundtrack for the NY Acrofest since the inaugural festival in 2012.
A long-beloved tradition of the AcroYoga community, the Bodywork & Dessert Party combines two of our favorite things into one delicious night. Relax after a full day of training into an open evening bodywork jam, including live music and delectible sweet treats.
The evening begins at 7pm. For those ready to get right to it, there'll be plentiful space to stretch out and drop into the therapeutic realm. For those seeking a bit more guidance, we'll offer a 15-minute opening Qi Gong session with Becca, followed by a 30-minute guided Thai massage session with Carolyn & Dion.
Can't make the day's festivities, but don't want to miss the B&D? Want to bring a friend along and introduce them to our magical reality? We welcome drop-in guests to join us for the Saturday evning soiree. Get $10 B&D tickets here, or pay cash at the door.
