ANGELA BUTCH

Angela began learning tap, jazz and ballet in her native Buffalo, New York at 6 years of age. In 2002 Angela was accepted to the Boston Conservatory where she was awarded the Jan Veen Scholarship and Juline Ince Thompson scholarship for choreography. 

Through her studies at the Conservatory, Angela would perform the works of Jose Limon, Martha Graham, and Murray Lewis, as well as create her own works - seeing them performed for artists such as Yoyo Ma. After receiving her BFA in 2006 Angela moved to New York City.

In New York City Angela began to pursue a career in acrobatics and circus arts. She kept one toe on the ground dancing with Tribe of Human, The Chase Brock Experience, and began getting air time with the Brooklyn-based, 'PopAction' dance company STREB. 

Angela has been spotted dancing and in flight with many NYC & Israeli circus companies performing around the world as a H2H acrobat, aerialist, bullwhip & fire performer! Some of these credits and companies include: Phoenix Entertainment NYC , featured aerialist and co-choreographer in the off-broadway production of Caligula Maximus NYC, played the principle role of Luna the Moth in Grounded Aerial's InsectInside , was on the world tour of The Aluminum Show, Cirqutacular's Circurious, Helium Entertainment, Pilobolous, Circus y , Bordel Total and Pyromania Show. 

Angela is now a proud member of the Fuerza Bruta cast in NYC. 

Angela founded & directs TheMuseBrooklyn a unique artist collective & circus based community.
